In the hills of Chianti, this grape was hardly ever used for winemaking on its own. In the traditional Chianti blend, Malvasia Nera is an aromatic grape that adds black pepper and spicy notes.
On its own, it offers a rather full body, lots of aromas and spices on a pleasantly dark red robe.
Only 680 bottles produced in 2016.
